Privacy Policy for actucally

Last updated: 2026-08-29

actucally is a Total Daily Energy Expenditure (TDEE) tracker. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use the app.

Short version: actucally does not collect, transmit, or share any of your data. Everything stays on your device, except for the one-time purchase step, which is handled by Google Play.

What data the app stores

The app stores the information you enter yourself — daily weight logs, daily calorie intake, and basic profile details (e.g. age, sex, height, activity level) used to estimate your energy expenditure. This data is saved only in a local database on your device (SQLite). It is never sent to us or to any third party, because actucally has no server or backend of its own — the app works entirely offline except for the one-time purchase step described below.

Accounts

There are no user accounts, logins, or sign-ups. We have no way to identify you and no record of who is using the app.

In-App Purchases

actucally is free to download. Unlocking the full app after onboarding is a one-time purchase processed through Google Play's Billing Library. Google handles the transaction and your payment details directly — actucally never receives, sees, or stores your payment information. This step requires an internet connection (both to complete the purchase and for Google Play's automatic restore-of-purchase checks); the rest of the app continues to work entirely offline.

Analytics, ads, and tracking

actucally does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs of any kind. No usage data is collected.

Exporting your data

The app lets you export your logs as a CSV file from Settings. This export uses your device’s native share sheet, so you control where that file goes (e.g. saving it, emailing it to yourself, or sending it elsewhere). actucally itself does not upload or transmit this file anywhere.

Data deletion

Since all data lives only on your device, uninstalling the app (or clearing its data in your device’s app settings) permanently deletes everything actucally has stored.

Children’s privacy

actucally does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information from anyone at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes — for example, if a future version of the app adds a feature that involves data leaving the device — this document will be updated and the “Last updated” date above will change accordingly.
